There are very few uses for the Interplanetary drive, notable exceptions being for
bounty hunters, Miners or Fuel Scoopers working within a system. All of these are
very low paying jobs, so I recommend that if you have one of these (e.g. if you
started off in the Sol System) you sell it and invest in a Hyperdrive. If
your engine gets damaged, it is often replaced with an Interplanetary Drive, so you will have to sell it and buy a proper one. Interplanetary Drives run on Hydrogen
Fuel.
