The Radar Mapper is needed to claim bounty on the Pirates that you kill, and so it is
useful if you get into a lot of fights, and absoloutely essential for Bounty Hunters. It also gives you the Hull, Shield and Engine Status of the enemy ship, which is
sometimes handy. If you encounter pirates regularly, it will pay for itself within a
trip or two.
